Frequently Asked Questions

  • Participants must apply for the Remake Program and submit at least one photo of their past work. They will then be able to schedule an appointment in the Remake Shop to meet with us APPLY NOW

  • No, once you are accepted it is free to use the machines and materials in the shop.

  • The products you make in the shop will belong to and will be sold in the Remake Shop. You will get commission when/if the item sells. If we decide to no longer sell the item or if the shop closes the item will be given to the designer.

  • All makers will get 50% of whatever the item sells for in the shop and will be paid weekly.

  • The Blue Greenie Remake Shop will price all items made in the shop. Items may be marked down after 3 months. Note that people who donate items recieve a 10% discount on the day they donate but this discount is covered by the Remake Shop and in this case the designer still gets 50%.

  • Some designers will make their own designs and others will collaborate with Blue Greenie. How you create in the shop will depend on your skill level and preference.

  • Yes, you can also create jewelry, home goods and even art or sculptures. All items made in the shop, however, must be remade from pre-existing materials.

  • Yes, you can bring in materials both to donate or to use in your projects. Note: items made in the shop will belong to the shop regardless of how much of your own material is used in the product.

  • Blue Greenie sometimes refers creators to customers for custom upcycles. In these instances creators get 100% of any custom work and deal directly with the customer. Let us know if you would like to apply to create custom pieces for customers.

  • You can submit pre-made items to sell in our boutique area via your artist account.

  • Creators in the shop will have access to donated materials including clothing, scraps, trims, buttons and other notions. There are sewing machines (Singer, Janome, & Brother), a serger, a Cricut machine, and a projector for digital patterns. Note: you must have prior experience with any machine you use in the shop.

  • When you are accepted in the Remake program you will be able to schedule time to come in. The availability of spaces, however, will be determined by how many people are booking. The Remake Shop also reserves the right to remove anyone for any reason from the program.
